The existing ground floor apartment was renovated with the aim of using it for rent. By removing an intermediate wall, the two areas of the kitchen and the bedroom were unified and a single living room and kitchen space was created. Also, the opening of one interior door was preserved as a bookcase. Finally, the new living room area has direct access to the terrace, which was designed in such a way as to provide an outdoor private living room.
